What is FORTUNE magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work For®?
FORTUNE Magazine chooses the 100 best companies by partnering with the Great Place to Work Institute® to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America.
Employees can complete a Trust Index© employee survey and offer their views on the credibility of their leaders, the respect they experience and the fairness of policies and practices in the workplace. They can also speak of the pride they feel in the work they do and reputation of their companies, and of the tremendous camaraderie they experience among their co-workers.
The remaining third of the score comes from the institute’s evaluation of each company's responses to the Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about demographic makeup, pay and benefits programs and open-ended questions about the company's people-management philosophy, internal communications, opportunities, compensation practices, diversity programs and more.
