​Chesapeake welcomes applications for corporate support from our operating areas which are defined here. Requests from our operating areas that fall within our corporate giving guidelines are reviewed on a regular basis by a contributions committee. Once a request has been submitted, please allow at least four weeks for notice of a decision.

Chesapeake supports charitable organizations and programs that focus on the following:

  • Arts and Culture
  • Community Development
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Social Services

 

Entities Chesapeake supports within our operating areas:

  • U.S.-based IRS 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit organizations
  • Accredited educational institutions
  • Community event sponsorships

 

What makes a donation application competitive?

  • Affordability and sustainability
  • Lasting impact on the community
  • Significant and measureable outcomes
  • Potential for collaboration with other complementary endeavors

 

Entities and events NOT supported by Chesapeake:

  • An individual person or family
  • Political candidates or organizations; If you are seeking this type of support, please contact Chesapeake’s Corporate Development Department at info@chesapeakefedpac.com.
  • Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine; Faith-based organizations must provide services to all clients regardless of denomination
  • Travel expenses
  • Nonprofit athletic events and athletic group sponsorships other than Special Olympics
  • Door prizes or raffles
  • School-affiliated trips, drama groups, yearbooks, class rings, graduations and prom events
  • Individual collegiate Greek organizations or fraternity/sorority-related events or fundraisers
