Why we give
We’re firm believers of giving back to the communities in which we operate. As we explore and produce natural gas, we make sure the work we do will invigorate economies and improve the infrastructure of the region. We ensure this by investing in education, building positive relationships with civic and government leaders for local initiatives and protecting the beauty and integrity of the environment.
How we support
In 2008, we contributed more than $40 million to support programs in the areas of education, health, social services, the environment and community development. Just as important as philanthropy, however, communities benefit from our spirit of service, as employees lend a hand by participating in the towns where they live, work and play. Senior management team members share their insights and leadership as board members for nonprofit organizations. Rig hands serve as volunteer firefighters. Land technicians tutor grade school students. Geologists lead Boy Scout troops. Every day, our employees know that their time, talents and contributions have helped enhance the quality of life, both today and in the future, for their friends and neighbors.
How to Submit Requests
When submitting requests for charitable contributions and/or event sponsorships, use the following information so we can evaluate your request:
- Legal name, address, phone number, email and/or website of organization
- Tax-exempt status and Federal Tax Identification number
- Requestor’s relationship to the organization and contact information
- Brief description of the organization and its mission and objectives
- Amount requested and its intended purpose
- Audience served by this contribution
- Geographic areas impacted by this contribution
- State any deadlines associated with this request
- Supporting information and details which will be helpful in reviewing the request
