Chesapeake adheres to all federal, state and local laws and regulations when production ceases and wells need to be plugged and abandoned. We restore each wellsite with plants native to the area. In some cases, improvements are also made to the area surrounding the wellsite. Our goal is for each site to be returned to as good, if not better, condition than when we began our operations.
