OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 27, 2006--Chesapeake Energy
Corporation (NYSE:CHK) today announced that it intends to commence a
public offering of EUR 400 million of a new issue of senior notes due
2017. Chesapeake intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to
repay outstanding indebtedness under its revolving credit facility.
The senior notes will be offered pursuant to an effective registration
statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Chesapeake intends to list the notes on the Irish Stock Exchange for
trading on its Alternative Securities Market.
Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank Securities and
Goldman Sachs International will act as joint book-running managers
