Gloria R. Boyland

Gloria Boyland has been a member of our Board of Directors since December 2016. Mrs. Boyland is Corporate Vice President of Operations & Service Support at FedEx Corporation, a $50 billion global transportation service provider. Operations and Service Support is responsible for evaluation and leadership of priority operational developments, service quality improvements, customer experience improvements and new service offerings. Previously, Mrs. Boyland served as Staff Vice President, Service Experience Leadership, working to improve service and customer experience across all channels and organizations, driving process improvement, and enhanced performance and measurement to ensure customers always have an outstanding experience with FedEx. Mrs. Boyland joined FedEx Corporation in 2004. Prior to joining FedEx, she held a broad variety of positions with increasing responsibility, including Customer Experience Management, Six-Sigma Quality, Business Development, Acquisition Integration and general management. Mrs. Boyland currently sits on the board of the Memphis Brooks Museum and is a sponsor for Teach For America. She is a member of The Links, Incorporated - Memphis Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and she has been a United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society member since 2005. Her professional affiliations include the National Black MBA Association – Memphis Chapter, American Productivity and Quality Center, American Society for Quality, Inc. and the U.S. Quality Council. Mrs. Boyland received a FedEx Corporate Five Star Award for development of a Service Quality Index which internally measures critical experience touch points that drive FedEx customer loyalty. She was named to the National Black MBA Magazine’s 2007 list of Top 50 under 50.

Mrs. Boyland holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
