Chesapeake's Oklahoma City Campus

From the company's modest beginning in 1989 with a single 6,000 square foot office building and less than 10 employees, Chesapeake Energy Corporation has built one of the premier corporate working environments in the U.S.

The well designed, beautifully landscaped 50-acre campus is done in the Georgian-style architecture reminiscent of the Chesapeake Bay region.  The campus is located at 6100 North Western Avenue in north Oklahoma City and currently includes 28 individual buildings with approximately 540,000 square feet of office space.    Future building projects will add an additional 300,000 square feet of office space and should be completed at various times in 2007, 2008 and 2009 to house our Oklahoma City staff of approximately 2,400 employees.  We have also built two on-campus restaurants and an award winning health facility for our employees.  In 2007, we opened two state of the art Reservoir Technological Center to help the company better understand and solve the challenges of the unconventional reservoirs in which we focus and from which we believe vast new reserves of natural gas can be developed.  Chesapeake's goal is to lead the industry in providing our employees with the best tools and facilities in order that they may continue delivering industry-leading value creation.
