Chesapeake has established a significant presence in a number of counties along the prolific Texas Gulf Coast. Throughout this area we utilize 3-D seismic data to delineate structural and stratigraphic traps, primarily in the Frio, Yegua and Wilcox formations. During the past few years, Chesapeake has obtained 2,000 square miles of 3-D seismic data and has drilled a number of significant wells as a result.
