Political Participation

Our participation in the political process reflects our core values of respect, integrity and trust, and our high ethical standards. Company funds for political expenditures or lobbying in any form or on behalf of the company are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Our Board of Directors' Nominating, Governance and Social Responsibility Committee is responsible for overseeing the company’s political spending, which is used to advance business goals and Chesapeake interests.

Chesapeake complies with federal, state and local laws that require disclosure of political contributions and lobbying activities. We file reports of receipts and contributions for our Political Action Committees (PACs) as required with the Federal Election Commission.

For more information regarding political participation, please review our 2016 Government Affairs and Political Activity Report.
