Gloria R. Boyland
Gloria Boyland has been a member of our Board of Directors since December 2016. Mrs. Boyland was Corporate Vice President of Operations & Service Support at FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX), a $50 billion global transportation service provider, until her retirement in January 2020. Operations & Service Support is responsible for leadership of operational cost reduction and process improvement initiatives, operations technology innovation, service quality improvements, customer experience and new service offerings. Mrs. Boyland joined FedEx Corporation in 2004 and was Staff Vice President, Service Experience Leadership from 2004 - 2016. Prior to joining FedEx, she held a broad variety of positions with increasing responsibility, including Customer Experience Management, Six-Sigma Quality, Business Development, Acquisition Integration and general management. Mrs. Boyland received a FedEx Corporate Five Star Award for transformation of its Service Quality Index, which internally measures critical experience touch points that drive FedEx customer loyalty. She has been recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine, Stevie Awards, National Black MBA and American Society for Quality. Mrs. Boyland currently sits on the board of the Memphis Brooks Museum and is a sponsor for Teach For America.
Mrs. Boyland holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Juris Doctorate from University of Pennsylvania Law School. Her professional affiliations include the National Black MBA Association, American Productivity and Quality Center, and American Society for Quality, Inc.
