Recognizing Employees for Safety, Sustainability and Service Performance

September 20, 2023
  • Company executives honored employees at the Chesapeake Excellence Awards in Oklahoma City.
  • Award categories included the President’s Award for Safety, the President’s Award for Environmental Impact and the President’s Award for Community and Culture.
  • Three finalists in each award category shared their best practices through presentations to leadership.

We recently celebrated the Chesapeake Excellence Awards (formerly the CEO Safety and Sustainability Awards), honoring teams of employees who demonstrated exemplary performance in safety, environmental stewardship, community engagement and company culture.

Hosted at our corporate campus, the awards program recognized nine finalists across three categories, based on nominations. During the event each team presented their nominated projects — sharing their best practices in front of company executives and key senior leaders with expertise in the represented categories. Following the presentations, our judges declared winners for each category.

“The Chesapeake Excellence Awards is one of my favorite events of the year,” said CEO Nick Dell’Osso. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate innovation and best practices and, most importantly, honor the hard work of our talented and dedicated team. Please join me in congratulating everyone who submitted projects for consideration, those selected to present at the awards and of course, the outstanding projects winning each category. All the work highlighted was deserving of our recognition and appreciation and should encourage us all to advance our culture of continuous improvement. Together, we are making a difference in working safer, protecting the environment and our communities and making our business better every day.”

Chesapeake’s ESG Council voted on nominations received companywide to determine a list of finalists that was ultimately approved by Chesapeake management. The winning teams received company recognition for their efforts.

In addition to recognizing top performance, the awards program served as a relationship-building event and an opportunity for employees to learn about other company initiatives related to safety and sustainability.

Congratulations to the award honorees and winners:
